Choosing a mental health professional has a lot of considerations. The following is meant to provide a general overview to help you decide if my services may be a good fit for what you are seeking.

GETTING STARTED

Counseling

  1. Reach out via telephone. Please limit information to scheduling details only - no personal details - due to security and privacy concerns. 

  2. Participate in a free 15-20 minute consultation via telephone so I can learn more about what you are seeking and you can ask any questions you may have to help us determine if we mutually agree that my services appear to be a good fit. 

  3. Complete and sign incoming paperwork if we decide to proceed with an intake session

  4. Attend intake session which will consist of obtaining a detailed history, clarifying goals, and developing a treatment plan. 

It is typically recommended that clients attend ongoing sessions on a weekly basis at the beginning of the counseling relationship and adjust session frequency to the level of support that they desire as they make progress towards reaching their goals.
